Why Improve my Split Leap? 

According to Shannon Miller's website

"I know what it takes to stand out during a routine and the split leap is one of those areas where you can really make a statement"

  • A leap is in every floor and beam routine starting at Level 3. 
  • It's a skill that you can never work on too much, since it can never be "perfect". You can always leap bigger and higher!

How to Join? 

The challenge will be powered by SkillTrakker. SkillTrakker is a fun, motivational web tool that lets you track your progress learning the skills for your gymnastics level, that also includes exercises for you to do and other additional challenges for you to complete to help you improve your gymnastics.  

We will use SkillTrakker to give you the mini-workouts and also to track your progress throughout the challenge. Being able to track your progress and earn points every day will help motivate you to continue. 

1. Sign up for SkillTrakker by clicking on the "Sign Up Now" buttons

2. You will be sent an email with instructions on how to create a SkillTrakker account. 

3. Starting on February 1st, for 28 days, daily mini-workouts focused on improving your Split Leap will appear in SkillTrakker for you to complete. Before and after the challenge there will be other general gymnastics exercises for you to do. 

4. Follow along with the rest of the gymnasts doing the challenge on instagram with the #SkillTrakker
